I've been off sick from work the last few days and whenever that happens my mum gives me a list of cards that she needs made so instead of resting in bed I end up making cards all day. (Not that I mind) Today I made some cards for my grandfather who has been very sick with multiple heart attacks. My parents are on the way up to QLD to visit him for his birthday. Unfortunatly by the time I went to photograph them they were already packed so I can't show off my mens cards which personally I find the hardest cards to make.
I was also fortunate enough today to stumble across Kristina Werner's blog and noticed she had posted another colour challenge so I decided today was the best day to give it a really good whirl. The colours given were based on some beautiful bedding shown below. The colours were Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Really Rust and Certainly Celery.
I used a layout created by Taylor Vanbruggen which i saw via the lovely Kylie Swain's blog who is a fellow Inkling. I had alot of fun creating this card. The colours are so incredibly beautiful and warm. I will use them together again. I am going to apologise in advance for the crap photography. I was having alot of trouble taking decent photo's of my card due to just taking the nebuliser which makes your hands shake and legs like jelly!! Silly Me! Oh well, ENJOY!
I proped the flower up so it looked like it was coming off the page. Here's a close up:
Stamp Set: In the Spotlight
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Fall Flowers DSP
Ink: Certainly Celery, Really Rust Marker
Accessories: Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Certainly Celery Brad
I have also been working on some cards using this months spotlight product. Stay tuned to see them tomorrow! Enjoy your weekend whatever your up to!
