Kristina Werner Colour Challenge #22

This week I've hardly touched my craft desk as life has been so busy. I've become mum this week with my parents and younger brother in Fiji (lucky ducks) and I've just had stuff to do all week. When I got an early break from work today it felt like I was just itching to get to my table. I checked out that Kristina Werner had a new colour challenge and I thought why not...

These colours are a little out of my comfort zone as are alot of Kristina's as I am NOT a pink person. I like it on cards but I am not really a pink person. I have also never used Bravo Burgundy so I was a little stumped!

I made 2 cards. I had all these ideas and they didn't work together so I made 2! The first I'm not all that fond of but It looks better in the photo, which doesn't always happen. It took a long time to complete and all these things happened whilst creating it that I just got a little fed up... Here's what the result was.

Stamp Set: In the Spotlight, Short & Sweet
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Versamark, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Soft Sky Ribbon, Bravo Burgundy Button, Sponges
Technique: Embossing resist

The second card I have changed the colours slightly. If my order had arrived I would have been ok but cos it didn't I had no more soft sky CS and I don't own the ink pad. So I substituted for Bashful Blue and did some watercolouring. Here's what I came up with...

Stamp Set: A little bit of happiness, Polka Dot background
Cardstock:Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Watercolouring Paper
Ink: Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Regal Rose wide ribbon, Bashful Blue Brads, Bravo Burgundy button, Aqua Painters, Corner rounder
Technique: Watercolouring

So, which of the 2 do you like better? Let me know by commenting below before 19th September and I will chose a comment at random and send that lucky person a handmade card. Demonstrators included, overseas is fine!

Thanks for looking! Happy Stampin'

Dani

I have to say that my favourite card is the second one because the light blue really freshens (real word, or did i just make that up? LOL) it up. They are both really cute, but I especially like the 2nd one-also because I LOVE the image haha. Great work Dani :)
